Erasing the self-learning value of the fuel-air mixture ratio (Nissan X-Trail T31)

The following describes how to clear the air-fuel ratio self-learning value. When actually performing the procedure, follow the instructions in "Diagnosis Procedure".

Procedure of execution

Using the CONSULT III tester

1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

2. Select the item "SELF LEARNING CONT" in mode "WORK SUPPORT" using the CONSULT-III tester.

3. Clear the self-learning value of the fuel-air mixture ratio by touching the "CLEAR" button.

Using GST scanner

1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

3. Disconnect the connector from the mass air flow sensor.

4. Restart the engine and let it run at idle speed for at least 5 seconds.

5. Stop the engine and connect the connector to the air mass sensor.

6. Select a procedure "Service S03" on the GST scanner. Verify that DTC P0102 is detected.

7. Select the procedure "Service S04" on the GST scanner and erase DTC P0102.
