1. Remove the wheel and brake drum as described in Chapter 13 of Section 10.
2. Remove the brake shoes as described in Chapter 18 from this Section.
3. Remove the wheel cylinder as described in Chapter 19 from this Section.
4. Release the handbrake cable from the shield (early models) or unscrew and remove the cable (late models),
5. Unscrew the shield of the lower end of the suspension strut.

6. When installing, completely clean the lower end of the rack and the shield. Install the shield, tighten the mounting bolts with the tightening force specified Specification.
