2. The fuel pump has a sealed design and cannot be cleaned (Figure 3.4).

3. Remove the pump by first removing the air filter assembly.
4. Mark the location of the inlet, outlet and return hoses (photo), disconnect and plug them.

5. Unscrew the pump on the cylinder head, remove the gasket.
6. The pump operation can be checked by blocking the outlet and return channels with your fingers and operating the rocker arm. The air pressure should remain for two to three seconds.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
