5. Disconnect the wiring from the spark plugs.
6. Drain the coolant from the cooling system, disconnect the cooling system hoses from the intake manifold throttle chamber.
7. Disconnect the accelerator cable.
8. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator, vacuum booster and economizer vacuum hoses from the intake manifold (photo).
83.8A. Disconnect the economizer vacuum hose...
83.8V... and the vacuum block hose from the intake manifold
9. Disconnect the PCV valve oil separator hose.
10. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system and disconnect the fuel supply hoses from the fuel line.
11. Note that the throttle body, air bypass pipe and hoses, fuel line/fuel pressure regulator assembly, air regulator/PCV valve hanger and 1AA block should not be removed from the intake manifold unless necessary.
12. Unscrew the front and rear mounting bolts.
13. Remove the manifolds from the cylinder head struts. Remove the gasket.
14. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Tighten the manifold nuts and bolts to the tightening torque specified in Specifications. Fill the cooling system.
