2. Pull off the rubber dust cap, remove the retaining ring from the master cylinder bore, and remove the tappet assembly. Loosen the lock nut, unscrew the clamp to remove the dust cap.
3. Press the piston with a screwdriver and loosen the piston stroke limiting screw. Remove the piston assembly and spring from the master cylinder.
4. The tank body can be removed by loosening the tank bracket clamp screw.
5. Clean all components thoroughly using alcohol or clean hydraulic fluid. Never use mineral solvents such as gasoline.
6. Carefully check all parts of the master cylinder. The cylinder and piston should fit precisely, without scratches, corrosion, or wear.

7. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.

8. Install the master cylinder on the vehicle.
