Removal and installation
Removal
Attention:
- Do not spill clutch fluid on painted surfaces. If fluid is spilled, wipe it up immediately and rinse the area with water.
- Do not disassemble the master cylinder.
1. Remove the air cleaner housing and the air duct (inlet) or ducts. See Chapter "Mechanical part of the engine".
2. Drain the clutch fluid from the reservoir and disconnect the hose.
3. Disconnect the master cylinder piston rod tip from the clutch pedal.
4. Remove the lock pin (1) from the coupling sleeve (2) of the master cylinder and separate the clutch pipe (3).
5. Rotate the master cylinder assembly 45° clockwise and remove from the vehicle.
Installation
Caution: Do not spill adhesive fluid on painted surfaces. If fluid is spilled, wipe it up immediately and rinse the area with water.
1. Tilt the master cylinder clockwise by 45° and insert it into the installation hole. Turn it counterclockwise and fix it. The pipe should be facing upward.
2. Connect the master cylinder piston rod end to the clutch pedal assembly.
3. Connect the hose to the reservoir and master cylinder assembly.
Caution: Place the hose with the paint mark facing up.
4. Insert the clutch pipe (7) into the coupling (2) of the master cylinder until it stops.
5. Insert the locking pin (3) into the connecting sleeve (2) of the master cylinder until it stops.
6. Add fresh clutch fluid as follows:
a. Fill the reservoir with fresh clutch fluid.
b. Connect the clear vinyl hose to the bleed nipple of the coupling.
c. Press the locking pin (1) of the coupling (2).
d. Slide the clutch pipe (1) in the direction shown by the arrow in the figure.
Size "A": 10 mm
e. Slowly press the clutch pedal to the floor and release it. Repeat the procedure until fresh clutch fluid starts to flow out.
Attention:
- Hold the clutch pedal to prevent the pipe from moving away from the coupling while applying pressure to the pipe.
- Monitor the fluid level in the tank and do not allow it to empty.
f. Return the clutch pipe and lock pin to their original position with the clutch pedal depressed.
g. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. See above.
7. After completing this procedure, check the clutch pedal. See above.
8. Install the air cleaner housing and the air duct (inlet) or ducts. See Chapter "Mechanical part of the engine".
