Note. The procedure applies only to the assembly of the right drive shaft.
1. Remove the right drive shaft assembly (see Section Removal and installation of power shafts).
2. Manually check that the thrust bearing rotates smoothly and quietly.
3. The replacement of a failed bearing should be entrusted to service station specialists; prepare a repair kit consisting of a replaceable assembly with three anthers.
4. Install the drive shaft assembly with the new thrust bearing pressed onto it in its regular place (see Section Removal and installation of power shafts).
