1. Working as described in Chapter 9 of this Section, clean and check the condition of all transmission parts. Replace those that are not suitable for use, as well as all units (seals, thrust rings, etc.) which must be replaced in any case.
2. When disassembling the synchronizers, mark them as described, but note that the spacer springs and displacement inserts. Press the hubs out of the bushings, remove the spring inserts.
3. Check the condition of the locking rings as described in Chapter 8.
