Assignment of the different positions of the selector lever

Attention:
To move the selector lever immediately after starting the engine, be sure to press the brake pedal. If the brake pedal is not pressed hard enough, the car may suddenly move. To avoid damage to the transmission, do not do the following under any circumstances:
Until the vehicle comes to a complete stop, move the lever to position P.
When moving forward, move the lever to position R.
When moving backwards, move the lever to position D, 2 or 1.
If you first pull the lever and then press the brake pedal when moving from position P, the lever will not move. You must first press the brake pedal and then pull the lever towards you.
Speed limits
To avoid exceeding critical engine speeds, do not drive faster than the speeds listed in the table.

Overdrive switch
This button is used when the selector lever is in position D. The upshift is engaged when driving under normal conditions.
Disengage the overdrive in the following cases:
- When descending, when light engine braking is required.
- When climbing, to avoid multiple gear changes from fourth to third, thereby ensuring smooth movement.
Note: When the automatic transmission oil temperature is low, the overdrive may not operate.
Automatic transmission mode switch
Depending on driving conditions, you can select 3 automatic transmission operating modes.
During normal driving, automatic mode is used.
Power mode
Used when climbing a hill or accelerating. To activate this mode, press the button on the POWER side (the indicator on the button will light up).
Automatic mode
Economy mode, used when driving in normal conditions. The switch is in neutral position.
Snow mode
Used when driving on snowy or slippery roads. To turn on this mode, press the button on the SNOW side (the indicator on the button will light up).
In position D of the selector lever, this mode provides a high torque at the start of movement on slippery roads.
If the electronic control system of the automatic transmission is faulty, after turning the ignition key to the ON position, the POWER indicator will flash for 8 seconds.
In automatic mode, during acceleration with gear shifting, the POWER indicator lights up.
After turning the ignition key to the ON position, the POWER indicator lights up for about 2 seconds. This is a test of the indicator and is not a malfunction.
