Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the rear wheels.
2. Remove the center console. See chapter "Interior and exterior body equipment".
3. Disconnect the connector from the parking brake indicator switch.
4. Remove the adjustment hole plug, unscrew the adjustment nut and loosen the front cable.
5. Remove the parking brake lever assembly.
6. Remove the heat shield and center muffler. See chapter "Accelerator, fuel system and exhaust system".
7. Separate the front cable from the rear cable and remove it.
8. Remove the parking brake shoe and disconnect the rear cable from the bellcrank. See below.
9. Loosen the rear cable mounting bolts and remove the rear cable from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Adjustment after installation
Adjust the length of the parking brake lever stroke to the required number of clicks.
