Note:

• * Components marked with an asterisk ("*") should be checked more frequently in accordance with section "Maintenance in harsh operating conditions".
• (1) No periodic maintenance is required. However, if valve knocking becomes more frequent, check the valve clearances.
• (2) Replace the drive belt if damage is found or if the automatic belt tensioner indicator clears the limit value of the permissible service range.
• (3) Initially replace at 90,000 km/60 months, then every 60,000 km/48 months. Perform procedure "P" (checking the ratio of the mixture components and adjusting it if necessary) in the middle of the replacement interval.
• (4) Fuel filter - maintenance-free type For maintenance procedures, see the Accelerator, fuel system and exhaust system chapter.
• (5) Intervals marked with "*" are provided only for Russia and Ukraine.
• 6) Perform only in accordance with the section "Maintenance under severe operating conditions" on EURO 2 models without Euro-OBD, e.g. for Russia and Ukraine. On models with Euro-OBD, periodic maintenance is not required.
