Note: The lid is quite heavy, so it might be a good idea to enlist the help of an assistant.
1. Open the trunk lid and secure it in the up position. Cover the painted panels of the opening edges with protective pads or old blankets.
2. Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors that interfere with the cover removal.
3. Trace the door hinge strips with a marker.
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the hinges to the lid and, with the help of an assistant, remove the latter.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the hinge strips are seated in accordance with the marks made during dismantling.
6. Once the cover is installed, close it and make sure it is correctly positioned in the body opening.
7. The door position is adjusted horizontally by loosening the hinge bolts and shifting the planks within the margin determined by the ovality of the bolt holes in them. After adjusting the position of the cover, do not forget to tighten the fasteners.

8. To adjust the position of the lid in the vertical plane, you can use adjusting washers that are placed under the hinge strips.
9. To adjust the height of the cover position in the body opening, loosen the bolts securing the lock striker assembly, adjust the position of the latter accordingly, then tighten the fasteners again.
Note: Before loosening the bolts, use a marker to outline the firing pin base plate for orientation.
