Front drive shafts
Each drive shaft has a constant velocity joint (CV joint) at its end. All vehicles have a CV joint at the outer end of the shaft that can only be replaced, not repaired. This vehicle is equipped with shafts with support bearings. The shaft is installed between the outer joint and the inner joint. The inner joint has its own shaft, which passes through the support bearing and connects to the variator (all-wheel drive models only). This shaft is installed on the right side. The outer end of the drive shaft is splined and is attached to the front wheel hub. If the ABS system is present, there is a gear at the front end of the shaft. The intermediate shaft is reinforced in a similar way in the variator.
Both CV joints are protected on the outside by rubber cuffs and do not require regular maintenance.
Rear drive shafts
The rear drive shafts are similar in design to the front ones, but do not have a support bearing, nor, especially, their own shaft.
The outer joint is attached to the wheel. and the inner one to the rear axle.
