Identification number
Used when registering a car. Car number plate (VIN number) fixed to the engine compartment bulkhead (photo).
Manufacturer's data plate
Installed in the engine compartment. The plate indicates the type of car, engine, power and cylinder capacity, chassis number.

Chassis number
Duplicated on the frame side member in the right front part near the engine.
Engine number
On 4-cylinder engines before 1990, the number is stamped on the right side of the cylinder block (except for the Z24i engine, which is stamped on the left side), on engines from 1991 onwards the number is stamped on the left rear of the cylinder block. On V6 engines the number is located at the rear of the block, just under the cylinder head (photo).
