1. The turn signal system consists of the turn signal and hazard warning flasher, control switch, external lights and connecting wiring. The hazard warning system is controlled by the same turn signal and hazard warning flasher.
2. If the turn signals do not work correctly: fast or slow only on one side, check the bulbs and wiring on that side. Bulbs of the wrong wattage, dirty bulb holders and poor grounding can be the cause of the malfunction.
3. If the turn signals do not work at all, check the fuse before checking the turn signal/hazard flasher switch. If the hazard flasher system works but the indicators do not work, the turn signal/hazard flasher switch is most likely good.
4. The turn signal and hazard warning flasher is mounted on the suspension at the bottom of the steering column, behind the brake light switch.
5. To replace the unit, unscrew the four screws, remove the lower panel group under the steering column, disconnect the wiring, and remove the unit.
