This light starts to flash when the ignition key is turned to position "LOCK", "OFF" (off) or "ACC" (accessories), reminding the driver that the car has an anti-theft locking device.
Malfunctions in the anti-theft device are indicated by the engine status indicator light (see section "Signal/indicator lights and buzzers" of this chapter).
