Removal and installation
Removal
Remove the vacuum hoses and tubes.
Installation
Install vacuum hoses and tubes.
Attention:
- Since the vacuum hose has a built-in stop valve, it must be installed in the correct direction. Refer to the marking. If the hose is not connected correctly, the brake booster will not function properly.
- Insert the vacuum hose to a depth of at least 24 mm (A).
- Do not use lubricating oil during assembly.
- When connecting the vacuum hose, insert it with the marking facing up.
- When connecting the vacuum hose (with built-in shut-off valve) insert with the marking facing the front side of the vehicle.

Check after removal
Visual inspection
Check if the assembly is correct and there is no damage or wear.
Checking the tightness of the shut-off valve
- Perform a check using a hand vacuum pump (A).

When connected from the amplifier side (B), the vacuum reduction should be about 1.3 kPa (10 mm Hg.) within 15 seconds at a vacuum of -66.7 kPa (-500 mmHg.). When connecting from the engine side (C): There should be no vacuum.
