Examination
Checking the tightness of the shut-off valve
Perform a check using a hand vacuum pump.
When connecting from the amplifier side (1):
- The vacuum reduction should be about 1.3 kPa (10 mm Hg.) within 15 seconds at a vacuum of -66.7 kPa (-500 mmHg.)
- When connecting from the engine side (2): There should be no vacuum.
Installation
The shut-off valve must be installed in the required direction. Refer to the marking or label.
Attention:
Insert the vacuum hose to a depth of more than 24 mm.
If the hose is not connected correctly, the normal operation of the brake booster will be impaired.
Do not use lubricants during assembly.
