Removal
1. Remove the lower section of the instrument panel from the driver's side.
2. Remove the steering column covers.
3. Remove the cotter pin and stud from the brake booster clevis.

4. Disconnect the connectors of the brake light switch and brake switch (to lock gear shifting).
5. Remove the instrument cluster.
6. Remove the steering column bracket.
7. Remove the pedal assembly mounting nuts and bolt. Remove the pedal from the vehicle.
Examination
Check the brake pedal for cracks or deformation at the welding points. If there are problems, replace it.

Check for damage or deformation on the earring pin or rubber stopper. If there is a problem, replace it.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
After installing the pedal on the vehicle, adjust it.
