Removal
1. Remove the air cleaner cover, air duct (located between the air cleaner and the intake manifold) and rear resonator.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose and oil lines from the vacuum pump.
3. Make marks on the pump body and connector for subsequent alignment, and remove the connector.
4. Unscrew the water pipe bolts located under the fuel injection pump toothed belt cover and remove the water pipe.
5. Remove the timing belt cover.
NOTES:
- A description of the individual steps required to remove the vacuum pump is given in Chapter "Engine".
- Before disconnecting the oil lines, remove the exhaust manifold.

Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
When installing the connector, align the marks made when removing it. Pay attention to the orientation of the connector.
