Make sure that the timing marks on the rear camshaft pulley and the fuel injection pump pulley are positioned as shown in the illustration.

7. Apply marks on the toothed belt opposite the timing marks of the pulleys. Also mark which side the belt is installed.

8. Loosen the tension roller nut. Using a screwdriver, turn the roller in the direction of the arrow to release the tension.

9. Remove the vacuum pump.
10. Remove the timing belt.
Installation
1. Check if the piston of the 1st cylinder is at TDC of the compression stroke.
If the injection pump toothed pulley was removed, it must be installed as shown in the figure.

2. Put on the toothed belt in accordance with the marks made during removal. At the same time, install the vacuum pump.
3. Adjust the belt tension as follows:
- a) Loosen the tension roller nut, after which the belt will be automatically tensioned as required. Make sure that the timing marks are correctly positioned (see item 6 of the "Removal" subsection),
- b) Turn the crankshaft two revolutions. Do not rotate the crankshaft or camshaft pulleys.
- c) Tighten the tension roller nut while holding the roller with a screwdriver.
Belt tension: 98±49 Nm (10±5 kgf).
4. Install the timing belt cover.
5. Install the remaining removed parts in reverse order.
