Replacing the rear crankshaft oil seal (Nissan Almera N15)

1. Remove the gearbox (see the relevant chapter).

2. Remove the flywheel or drive disk.

3. Remove the rear oil seal retainer and remove any remaining old sealant (in SR and CD engines, it is not necessary to remove the holder).

4. Remove the seal from the holder using a screwdriver, wrapping its blade with electrical tape. Be careful not to scratch the holder and the crankshaft flange.

5. Lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil and press it in the same position as the front one (see previous section).
