2. Turn the wheel and check the free rotation of the play.
3. If play is felt when the wheel swings in a vertical plane, then it is necessary to check the bearings to replace the grease in the hub

7. Unpin the cap of the adjusting nut (photo).
8. Turn away a nut and remove a washer.
9. Give a nave on itself and push back, get the external bearing.
10. Remove a nave from a pin of a rotary fist.
11. Pry with a screwdriver and remove the gland (photo). Pay attention to the orientation of the oil seal in the hub.
12. Get the internal bearing.
13. Rinse the bearings and hub from grease, clean the pin.
14. Check up a condition of rollers and external cages of bearings in naves. In case of damage on the outer clips, they must be pressed out (carried out at a service station) and replace bearings.
15. Fill the bearings with refractory grease, carefully filling the space in the roller cage (photo).
16. Lubricate the bearing seats on the trunnion and the gland bore.
39.11 Removing the hub seal
17. Place grease behind the bearing races, smearing the edges of the races and creating a shoulder to keep the grease inside the bearings.
18. Insert the lubricated inner bearing and apply grease to the outside of the bearing.
19. Press in a new epiploon.
20. Install the hub and put on the outer bearing.
21. Put on the washer and tighten the nut with a torque of 3 Nm.
22. Rotate the hub in both directions.
23. Check the tightening torque and turn the hub again in both directions. Check the torque resistance, which should remain at 3 Nm.
24. Tighten the nut 45°.
25. Put on crown cap and cotter pin. If necessary, tighten the nut clockwise so that the cotter pin fits into the slots in the cap and into the hole in the pin.
26. Bend the cotter pin so that it does not touch the hub cap.

27. Press on the hub cap, making sure the O-ring is intact.
28. Put on the wheel, tighten the nuts and shake, check the play in the bearings. Lower the car.
