2. Put the car on the handbrake and block the wheels.
3. On a cold engine, remove the radiator cap.
4. Place a container of suitable capacity under the radiator drain hole. On V6 engines, unscrew the vent valve by turning it counterclockwise until it stops (photo).
5. After all the liquid has drained from the radiator, rearrange the vessels under the drain plug of the cylinder block. On 4-cylinder engines, the plug is located at the left rear of the block, non-V6 engines before 1990 - behind the generator, on V6 engines after 1990 - 2 plugs, near the generator and next to the right engine support.
6. Check the condition of all hoses and connections.
7. Replace any damaged hoses.
8. After the liquid drains, rinse the radiator with running water.
9. Rust and scale in the cylinder block and pipelines can be removed with chemical agents, which should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. If the radiator is heavily contaminated, there are mechanical damages and leaks, the radiator should be removed and handed over for repair.
10. Wash the expansion tank.
11. Replace and tighten all drain plugs.
12. Slowly add fresh coolant of water and antifreeze in a ratio of 50/50 until the radiator is full. Add fluid to the reservoir to the bottom mark. On a V6 engine, close the valve
13. With the radiator neck open, start the engine and warm up the engine until the top has gone! won't get hot.
14. Stop the engine and let cool. Add fluid to the lower edge of the radiator neck.
15. Remove air by pushing on the upper hose, close the plug.
16. Warm up the engine and check for leaks.
