Attention! It is recommended to change the distributor cap together with the spark plugs.
44.1 Distributor cover screws
1. Disconnect the ignition coil wire, remove the screws (or unfasten the latches) and remove the cover (photo). Carefully lift the cover aside.
2. Check the status of the slider (photo). If any defects are found, replace the slider by removing it from the rotor (or unscrew the bolt) and install a new one (photo).

1. Loss of elasticity of the spring contact; 2. Cracks; 3. Damage due to touching the cover.; 4. Corrosion

1. Scope of the nest for the wire; 2. Erosion of findings; 3. Wear of coal; 4.5. breakdown trace; 6. Cracks
2. Place the cover on and tighten the screws.
3. Check the condition of the wires of the switch built into the distributor.
4. Inspect the cover, check for cracks on the inside, traces of breakdown (thin burnt, tracks), as well as wear, burning and loosening of contacts (photo).Replace the cap if any sign of doubtful condition is found.
