CR14DE and HR16DE engines
1. Set the heater or air conditioner temperature control to the maximum heat (HOT) position.
2. Open the hood.
3. To facilitate draining of coolant, remove cap ① (if any) from the radiator neck or expansion tank cap.
4. Loosen the clamp ② of the lower radiator hose ③ and remove the hose to drain the coolant.

4. Flush the cooling system with clean running water, feeding it through the radiator filler neck (if any) or through the expansion tank.
5. Install the lower radiator hose in place and secure it with a clamp.
6. Pour slowly into the radiator (if there is a filler hole) recommended coolant composition Fill the coolant into the expansion tank up to the "MAX" mark. The filling capacity of the engine cooling system is given in the section "Technical information".
7. Replace the radiator cap (if any) or the expansion tank cap.
8. Start the engine and warm it up until the radiator cooling fan turns on. Then, at idle, accelerate the engine two or three times. Check the indicator lamp for signs of engine overheating.
9. Turn off the engine. After the engine has cooled down, add coolant to the radiator and bring its level to the base of the filler neck (if any). If the fluid level has dropped, add fluid to the expansion tank up to the "MAX" mark.
10. Check for coolant leakage through the lower radiator hose connection.
11. Close the hood.
