Removal the filter
1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Turn off the engine and wait at least 10 minutes.
3. Raise the car with a garage jack and support it with safety stands.
Place safety stands under the car jack mounting points.
4. Open the hood.
5. Place a container under the filter to collect the oil.
6. Use a filter puller to loosen the filter. Depending on the engine model, you may need a puller with a socket head. If necessary, contact a service station. Remove the oil filter.

7. Wipe the contact surface under the filter with a clean cloth.
Make sure that the rubber seal from the used oil filter has been removed, as it may remain on the engine.
Installing a filter
1. Lubricate the rubber seal of the new oil filter with clean engine oil.
2. Screw on the oil filter until you feel slight resistance, then tighten it an additional 2/3 of a turn.
3. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
4. Start the engine. With the engine warm, check for oil leaks around the oil filter. Tighten if necessary.
5. Turn off the engine and wait 10 minutes. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Close the hood.
