GA and SR engines
1. Remove the lower and right engine splash guards.
2. Remove the drive belts of the generator and power steering pump.
3. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
4. Remove the old oil seal from the front crankcase using a screwdriver. Be careful not to scratch the bore walls or the crankshaft.
5. Lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil and press it in as shown in the figure.
CD Engines
To remove the front crankshaft oil seal on CD engines, you must first remove the timing belt and crankshaft pulley.
When removing the oil seal, wrap the screwdriver blade with electrical tape to avoid scratching the crankshaft and the walls of the hole.
The seal is pressed in the same position as in GA and SR engines.
