2. Carefully remove the seal by prying it up with a screwdriver or other tool (photo).

3. Clean the seal bore and lightly lubricate the outside of the new seal with engine oil. Carefully press the new seal into place using a mandrel with a diameter slightly smaller than the seal diameter (photo). After installation, make sure that the seal spring position is not disturbed.

4. Install the pulley.
