2. Remove the air filter.
3. Remove the power steering pump and pump belt tensioner pulley (if provided).
4. Disconnect the wires from the candles and take them aside along with the brackets.
5. Disconnect the air ejection tube, remove the valve body (if provided).
6. Remove the suction manifold.
7. Remove the thermal vacuum distributor with bracket from the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
8. Disconnect the recirculation tube.
9. Remove the fuel pump (mechanical).
10. Remove the exhaust manifold.
11. Remove the cylinder head cover.
12. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to the TDC of the compression stroke and remove the camshaft sprocket (see above).
13. Loosen 10 cylinder head bolts by backing out each bolt 1/4 turn at a time. Loosen bolts in sequence (photo). Unscrew the bolts and store in the cash register in the order in which they were wrapped.
14. Turn away two small bolts of fastening of a forward cover.
15. Displace the head, with light blows through the wooden spacer and remove.
16. Remove the gasket.
