Removal
1. Remove the wheels from the vehicle.
2. Support the suspension arm with a suitable jack and remove the load from the spring.
3. Remove the shock absorber.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Perform final tightening of all bolts and nuts on the underside of the shock absorber (rubber-metal bushing) in an unloaded state, when the vehicle is standing with its wheels on the ground.
Check after removal
- Check the shock absorber for deformation, cracks, or damage. Replace if necessary.
- Check for oil leaks at welded or sealed areas. Replace if necessary.
Post-installation check
1. Check the rear wheel alignment angles. See above.
2. Perform the neutral position adjustment of the steering angle sensor. See chapter "Brake system".
