Removal
- Remove the oil pan and oil pickup.
- Remove the front camshaft timing chain housing and the main camshaft timing chain.
- Remove the oil pump.
- Disassemble the oil pump as described below.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
- When installing, align the crankshaft flats with the inner rotor flats.
- Before installing the camshaft drive chain housing, scrape off any remaining sealant with a scraper. Clean the cylinder block surfaces as well.
- Coat the mating surface of the housing with sealant and install all parts in reverse order.
