Air conditioning system — general information (Nissan Terrano 1 «Terrano 1», petrol, 1986-1995)

It consists of a compressor, condenser, moisture separator and evaporator (photo). On cars produced since 1993, the system is filled with FM34a refrigerant, which does not destroy the ozone layer of the atmosphere. This refrigerant does not mix with R12 refrigerant, so it is prohibited to fill systems containing R12 with R-134a refrigerant. To compensate for engine speed when the air conditioner is turned on, the power system has an idle speed corrector. The air flow from the air conditioner is controlled by handles on the front panel.
