3. Turn on the air conditioner and check the idle speed again (on vehicles with automatic transmission, move the selector to position N).
Carburetor engines
4. Idle speed should be 800 rpm on rear-wheel drive vehicles and 950 rpm on all-wheel drive vehicles. Otherwise, adjust by turning the screw on the accelerator pump lever (photo), do not touch the idle speed adjustment screw.
