Standard idle speed. (after warming up)
Checking idle speed.
Make sure that all loads are disconnected from the engine: air conditioning, power steering pump and various electrical consumers.
Using an adapter (special tool) connect the tachometer between the ignition coil and distributor connectors.
Normal idle speed should be at the level of 700±50/min.
Caution: If the idle speed is outside the normal range, adjust it as described below.
