Preparation
1. Check the injection start angle.
2. Check the condition of the injectors.
3. Check:
- air supply tract (is the air filter clogged);
- preheating system; engine oil and coolant levels.
4. Set the gearshift lever to neutral. Apply the parking brake.
5. Turn off the air conditioner, lighting and all additional electrical equipment.
6. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
7. Connect the tachometer for diesel engines.

8. Run the engine two or three times and then check the idle speed. It should be in the range of 700-750 min⁻¹ (800 min⁻¹ with the air conditioner on).
9. If the speed is not within the specified range, adjust it with the adjusting screw. After adjustment, securely fix the screw with the lock nut.
