After disassembling the engine, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned and checked. All necessary repairs are described separately in the following chapters. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following points:
1. Assemble parts only when they are absolutely clean.
2. When installing parts with a small tolerance, clean the tools, workbench and hands from dirt. The smallest foreign bodies can get into the supports. Use only lint-free cloths for cleaning.
3. Apply a clean film of grease to the parts before installing them on the engine. Do this before installation, as sometimes the oil may not reach the bearings.
4. Check all reusable parts for damage and wear. Parts in poor condition should not be installed. In no case should you save on this, since a new disassembly in the event of repeated failure will clearly be more expensive.

5. Purchase all spare parts from Nissan workshops. Always indicate the engine and chassis numbers. Parts are often changed for improvement during one year of production and only on the basis of documents can you select the necessary parts.
6. It is necessary to observe all tightening torques specified in Specifications at the beginning of the Chapter. If the tightening torque is not specified, proceed with caution.
