6.1. Front suspension strut upper mounting nuts
2. Apply the handbrake, lift the front of the car. Remove the wheel.
3. Remove the spring clamp and release the flexible brake hose from the strut hanger.
4. Unscrew the lock nuts, remove the two bolts securing the hub element to the suspension strut.
5. On vehicles with non-adjustable suspension, unscrew the three nuts of the upper suspension strut mount and remove the strut from under the front wing.
6. On vehicles with adjustable suspension, disconnect the strut actuator wiring (see Figure 10.11). Unscrew the three nuts securing the upper strut mount and secure the struts, disconnect the actuator wiring from the strut piston rod by squeezing the upper cover together at points 'A' shown in Figure 10.12. Remove the upper cover and gasket (where is it used) and remove the stand from under the front fender.

7. When assembling, thoroughly clean the fender liner area and the hub fastener around the strut.
8. On vehicles with non-adjustable suspension, install a spacer (where is it used) and the upper strut cover, then fit the strut to the hub mount and fender. Install the three upper mount nuts, then insert the two lower tie bolts from the front to the rear, install the lock nuts.
9. On vehicles with adjustable suspension, position the strut against the fender and hub mounting, ensuring that the upper strut mounts are positioned as shown in Figure 10.13. Install the spacer (where is it used), and connect the top cover to the strut piston rod using the square tab ('B' in Figure 10.12) as a guide. Install the three top mount nuts, insert the two lower tie bolts from the front to the back, install the lock nuts, connect the wiring to the strut actuator.

10. On all vehicles, tighten the upper strut mount nuts and lower bolts (photo) to the specified tightening torque Specification.
6.10. Tighten the nuts securing the suspension strut to the hub mounting element
11. Install the high pressure brake line pipe onto the suspension strut and secure it with a spring clip.
12. Install the wheel and lower the car to the ground.
13. It may be necessary to check the wheel alignment and steering angles (see Chapter 36 of this Section).
