Removal
1. Remove the wheels from the vehicle.
2. Separate the wishbone from the steering knuckle.
3. Remove the wishbone from the suspension beam.
Note: The wishbone prevents the mounting bolt from being removed () of the wishbone at the rear mounting point at the front of the vehicle, which rests against the stabilizer bar. Therefore, to remove the wishbone, remove the stabilizer bar.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
Perform final tightening of all bolts and nuts on the front suspension beam in an unloaded state with the vehicle wheels on the ground.
Check after removal.
Visual inspection
Check the following:
- Check the wishbone and bushing for deformation, cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
- Check the ball joint boot for cracks or other damage and for grease leaks. Replace if necessary.
Checking the ball joint
Move the ball joint end by hand and make sure it moves freely without binding.
Checking the swing moment
Note: Before taking the measurement, move the ball joint tip by hand at least ten times to make sure it moves freely.
Attach the dynamometer (A) to the cotter pin mounting hole. Check that the value measured by the dynamometer is within the specified range when the ball joint tip begins to move.

If the measured value is different from the standard, replace the control arm assembly.
Checking axial play
- Move the ball joint tip in the axial direction and check for play.

Post-installation check
1. Check the front wheel alignment angles. See above.
2. Perform the neutral position adjustment of the steering angle sensor. See chapter "Brake system".
