As an additional option, the front seats of the car can be equipped with an electric drive. The drive allows you to adjust the position of the seat, the height of the cushion and the angle of the backrest.
The system includes a drive electric motor, a control switch built into the seat assembly, and circuit breaker No.1 (on the left under the dashboard) and fuse F for 30 A in the passenger compartment mounting block.
Look under the seat and make sure nothing is blocking its movement.
If the electric drive does not function at all, check the condition of the fuse (see section Fuses and fuse links - general information).
Without starting the engine, check by ear the proper functioning of the drive electric motors in all operating modes of the electric drive provided by the design.
If the motor runs or clicks but the seat does not move, the drive mechanism should be checked. The motor assembly should be replaced.
If the motor does not make any sounds, check that the voltage supply to it is working properly (ask an assistant to manipulate the switch).
If the electric motor is properly powered, remove it from the vehicle and test it by directly connecting it to the battery. Replace it if necessary.
If there is no voltage, check the power supply to the switch assembly. If necessary, evaluate the condition of the wiring in the area between the switch and the fuse box. If the power supply is correct, remove the switch and check it for proper conductivity distribution between the terminals in different positions. Replace the failed assembly.
If the switch is OK, check for signs of an open or short in the wiring between the switch and the motor.
After completing the repair, repeat the test.
