Switches for controlling the functioning of the electric drive of the roof hatch (shift and tilt) when squeezing out, they provide grounding of the drive electric motor. Power is supplied to the motor from a special control relay. With the ignition on (do not start the engine) check the operation of the sunroof drive in all specified modes.
Listen for the sounds of a running electric motor.
If the motor is working properly by ear, but the hatch does not move, check the condition of the rods and cables of the drive mechanism.
If the engine is not heard, check the condition of fuse No. 12 at 7.5 A in the cabin mounting block and fuse F at 30 A in the mounting block located in the engine compartment of the car.
If the fuses are good, lower the ceiling light assembly with the control panel built into it. Turn on the ignition and check the yellow-red wire of the electric motor for voltage. If voltage is present, check the power supply to the switch. Also evaluate the grounding quality of the switch assembly. If the wiring is OK, but there is still no voltage at the switch, replace the switch. If power is not supplied to the motor, check the proper functioning of the corresponding control relay, as well as the condition of the connecting wiring in the circuit section between the relay and the motor.
Note. The power sunroof control relay is located under the front door sill trim on the driver's door, next to the fuel pump relay.
If there is no voltage at the switch, disconnect the electrical wiring from it and check the assembly for the correct distribution of conductivity in various positions. Replace defective switch.
If the switch is OK, connect the wiring to it. Find the wire going from the switch to ground and, without turning off the drive, shunt it with a jumper wire. If the drive starts to function properly when grounded, restore the quality of the contact connections of the corresponding section of the circuit.
If necessary, the roof hatch can be closed manually by rotating the drive motor shaft with a suitable wrench (shaft should be rotated clockwise). When the sunroof is factory installed, the appropriate key is included as standard on the vehicle.
