Shaft
If runout, cracks or damage are found, replace the shaft.
Covers and clamps
If cracks are found, replace the cover.
If removed, the cover clamps should be replaced with new ones.
Fixed joint assembly
Check that the joint rotates smoothly and that there is no excessive play in the axial direction.
Make sure there are no foreign particles inside the joint.
Caution: If the components of the ball joint assembly are defective, replace the entire ball joint assembly.
D-type movable joint housing
Check the rolling surface of the balls for damage or excessive wear.
Check that the threads on the shaft are not damaged.
Check that the cover fastening elements are not deformed.
Clip
Check for damage to the sliding surface or other defects.
Steel balls
Check for damage or excessive wear.
Inner ring
Check for damage to the rolling surface of the balls or other defects.
Check if the splined part is damaged.
Thrust bearing
Check for damage, excessive wear or other defects.
Check the bearing housing for cracks or damage.
Housing of the movable hinge type T
If there are scratches or wear on the contact surface under the rollers on the housing or crosspiece side, replace the housing and crosspiece assembly.
If the crosspiece rollers have excessive play around the periphery or are sticking, replace the crosspiece assembly.
The crosspiece roller has a marking stamped on it (see picture), corresponding to the part number in the catalog. Select the appropriate replacement part with the same number from the table below.

If any defects in the components are found, replace the joint assembly.
In case of replacement of the housing, the crosspiece assembly and the hinge assembly are replaced as a set.
