Checking before disassembly
Move the hinge up/down, left/right and axially. Make sure it moves freely and there is no significant play.
Check the covers for cracks, damage, and leaks.
From the wheel side
1. Remove the signal ring from the drive shaft using a suitable bearing grip and puller as shown.

2. Secure the shaft in a vice.
Caution: When securing the shaft in a vice, protect it from damage by placing copper or aluminum plates between it.
3. Remove the clamps from the boot. Remove the boot from the hinge assembly.
4. Thread the drive shaft puller 30mm or more onto the threaded portion of the joint. Remove the joint from the shaft.

Caution: If the joint cannot be removed after five or more unsuccessful attempts, replace the entire drive shaft assembly.
5. Remove the cover from the shaft.
6. Remove the damper from the shaft.
7. Remove the ring clamp from the shaft.
8. Remove old grease.
Thrust bearing (Z100D90+B, B90SFJ90+B)
1. Remove the boot from the shaft using a brass pin and a flat-head screwdriver as shown in the figure.

2. Remove the retaining ring.

3. Press the housing out of the support bearing as shown in the figure

4. Remove the retaining ring from the support bearing housing. Then use a drift to remove the retaining ring (special tool) press the support bearing out of the housing as shown in the figure.

From the gearbox side (Z100D90+B, Z100D90)
1. Remove the clamps from the cover.
2. Remove the retaining ring and the movable joint housing.

3. Remove the retaining ring, cage, steel balls and inner ring.
4. Remove the covers from the shaft.


Disassemble and check the cage, steel balls in assembly in case of damage to the covers and foreign particles getting into the lubricant.
Attention:
Disassemble the cage and steel balls as an assembly only if the grease has been washed out.
If there are any defects on components such as steel balls, replace the joint assembly.
5. Remove the steel balls using a screwdriver.

6. Remove the inner ring from the larger diameter side of the cage.
Caution: When removing the steel balls, be careful not to damage the ball rolling surface or the inner ring.
Z80T86C, B90SFJ90+B, B 90S FJ 90, Z100T82F
1. Remove the clamps from the cover.
2. Secure the shaft in a vice.
Caution: When securing the shaft in a vice, protect it from damage by placing copper or aluminum plates between it.
3. Apply alignment marks to the shaft and crosspiece assembly.

Caution: Apply marks with paint or similar substance. Do not scratch the surface.
4. Remove the retaining ring. Remove the crosspiece assembly from the shaft.
5. Remove the cover from the shaft.
