Fuel Injector Components
1 - Fixing cap; 2 - Insulator; 3 - Injector; 4 - Upper sealing ring; 5 - Central sealing ring; 6 - Lower sealing ring; 7 - Fuel line insulator
Warning! See warnings at the beginning of the Section Relieving pressure in the fuel system.
On models from 1995 onwards, the front bank injectors can be serviced without removing the upper section of the intake manifold. Removing the fuel line is also not a requirement.
1. Release the pressure in the fuel system (see section Relieving pressure in the fuel system).
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the system before disconnecting the battery!
3. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold (pressure chamber) (see Part SOHC engines or DOHC engines Chapters Engine).
See the original on the resource: NissanBook.ru

4. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the injection injectors.

5. To service the injector(s), unscrew the screws securing the retaining cap(s) and remove the injector(s) from the fuel rail assembly. Assess the condition of the sealing rings of each of the removed injectors; replace any defective rings. Before installing the injectors, lubricate the sealing rings with liquid machine oil.
Caution! Never use silicone grease to lubricate the rings - this may cause the injectors to clog! Using light, reciprocating movements, seat the injector(s) in the line. Wipe and install the retaining cap(s) and tighten the mounting screws to the required torque.

6. To remove the fuel line, disconnect the fuel supply and return lines from it, then unscrew the mounting bolts (two on each side).
7. While gently rocking the manifold assembly from side to side, remove it together with the injectors from the lower section of the intake manifold.

8. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the following points:
- a) Do not forget to check the condition of the insulators of the main line supports, replace defective components;
- b) After seating the insulators in the lower section of the intake manifold, lightly lubricate them with machine oil.
