Note: Adjustment of the throttle and cruise control actuators is performed in a similar manner.
Removal

1. Disconnect the throttle cables and (with the appropriate vehicle configuration) temperature control from the throttle actuator lever.

2. Loosen the lock nut and adjusting nut and release the accelerator cable from its bracket.

3. Under the instrument panel in the driver's footwell, disconnect the accelerator cable from the gas pedal lever, unscrew the bolts securing the cable assembly to the engine compartment bulkhead.
4. Release the remaining intermediate torso fasteners.
5. Pull the cable through the bulkhead into the engine compartment and remove it from the vehicle.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the cable is routed correctly and that it is securely fastened in all the provided fasteners.
2. If necessary, coat the cable passage unit through the bulkhead with sealant to prevent moisture from entering the vehicle interior.
Adjustment
1. The accelerator cable is adjusted as follows:
- a) Pull the rope to remove all slack;;
- b) Loosen the adjusting nut until the throttle actuator lever has free play;
- c) Loosen the cable adjusting nut by 1.5÷2 turns;
- d) Tighten the lock nut;
- e) Make sure that the throttle valve opens fully when the gas pedal is pressed to the floor and returns to its original (closed) position when the pedal is released. Make sure that there are no signs of jamming;
2. Procedure for adjusting the cruise control cable:
- a) Make sure the throttle cable is adjusted correctly;
- b) Loosen the adjusting nut of the throttle cable until the throttle lever moves freely;
- c) Loosen the cable adjusting nut another half turn - turn;
- d) Tighten the lock nut and check the correct operation of the cruise control.
