1. Loosen the lock nut securing the cable to the hand plate so that the cable can move freely.
2. Set the plate and selector lever to the "P" position.
Note: Turn the wheels at least a quarter turn and make sure the parking mode is engaged.
3. Hold the end of the cable, stretch and compress it several times, then apply a force of 9.8 N to it. Release the cable and temporarily tighten the lock nut.
4. Tighten the lock nut with force 12.5÷16.9 Nm, keeping the hand plate from moving.
