1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. The shaft with rocker arms is attached to the head with 10 bolts. Loosen the bolts by 1/4 turn, in order from the center to the periphery. Unscrew the bolts but do not remove them.
3. Remove the shaft with rocker arms.
4. If the rocker arms are not removed, leave the 4 outer bolts in place (otherwise the assembly will fall apart). If the rocker arms are to be removed for repair, follow the description in section 6.
5. When installing, tighten the bolts by hand and tighten to the specified torque, making 1/4 turn at a time.
