2. Connect the two leads of the ohmmeter to the points of the circuit being tested.

If there are diodes in the circuit being tested, swap the ohmmeter leads and repeat the test.
When connecting the negative wire to the positive side of the diode and the positive wire to the negative side, the circuit should be closed, if the opposite is true, the circuit should be open.

3. Use a high impedance volt/ohmmeter to test the circuit (not less than 10 kOhm/V).
