When performing control, in addition to the warnings given in Chapters 2 and 28 from this Section, note the following:
- (a) When installing the battery, be especially careful not to confuse the positive and negative cables.
- (b) Do not subject parts, especially the ECCS control unit, to strong shock when removing or installing.
- (c) Do not be careless when troubleshooting. Even a small contact of the clamp can disrupt the test procedure and even damage the transistor circuit.
- (d) Never attempt to repair the ECCS control unit or open the cover.
- (e) If you inspect the electronic control system components in rainy weather, make sure that water does not come into contact with the system parts. When washing the engine compartment, do not spray water on these parts or their connectors.
