Rules for working with an air conditioner compressor (Nissan Almera N15)

If the air conditioning compressor is removed, it must be stored in the same position as it was installed on the vehicle. Otherwise, lubricant may penetrate into the low-pressure chamber.

After removal, close all openings to prevent moisture and foreign objects from entering the compressor.

The friction surfaces between the pulley and the clutch must be kept clean. Wipe off any grease with a rag soaked in solvent.

After working with the compressor, turn its shaft by hand at least 5 revolutions in both directions to distribute the lubricant inside the compressor. After installing the compressor, leave the car idling with the compressor running for one hour.
